footer disappears off the left
When window is made narrower than content horizontal scrollbars are added. Most of the page handles this gracefully, however the footer disappears off the left. See attachment.

I can reproduce this - I think I need to tweak the footer nav so it has the same fix as the header. When is the code freeze for 3.1? I'll try to fix this.
