An automatic update of Firefox 3.0.7 / Mozilla 5.0 running on my Mac OS X Version 10.5.6 with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
lost all those hundreds of professional bookmarks, substituting them with 6 Vuze links.
Bookmark.html in my profile contains only those Vuze links, no backup exists, in my view such problems MUST NOT happen if we users are to trust automatic Mozilla updates.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:
No automatic update should modify my bookmark file.
Your bookmarks are not stored anymore in bookmark.html, but in places.sqlite. It seems that was corrupt, and then an old bookmark.html file was imported instead.

There should be backups are stored in the bookmarkbackups folder, and can be restored from inside the bookmarks organizer itself (import & backup button in the toolbar)
