Which arrow did you press? We need more specific steps to reproduce. I mark this bug as INCOMPLETE till you posted more specific steps to reproduce.

(Help -> About)
C'mon don't close bugs as invalid a couple of minutes after the report was filed. That's counter-productive. Reporter, do you use a different theme? Can you please attach a screenshot to this bug? Thanks.

(i.e. which arrow he pressed) and also it can get changed to "NEW" after we have these information, so again: for me it's not counter-productive it just shows that some further information are needed.
I don't want to discuss it here, so just a few words. Incomplete will mark the status of the bug as resolved and will be hidden by our queries for unconfirmed bugs. Incomplete is used to mark bugs when no response of the reporter is given for a longer period of time. 7 minutes like in this example doesn't fit this rule. Please use at least 2 weeks. Thanks.
I badly speak in English, therefore I use the translator. I do not know as correctly this arrow is called. It is on the right in an addressbar. If it to press, there should be a list under addressbar. But in version 3.1b3 this list does not appear. I asked several people about it. They have told, that all works. But for two people addressbar does not work and for me too.
Have you tried with a new profile? (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#Creating_a_new_profile) or with Safe Mode? (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) > Incomplete will mark the status of the bug as resolved and will be hidden by > our queries for unconfirmed bugs. Sorry Henrik.
> Have you tried with a new profile? Yes. I tried new profile without addons and themes. (Linux and Windows) > or with Safe Mode? Result same.
Also I tried switch off all plug-ins. But nothing...
Can you give a screenshot of the issue, showsing what arrow you are clicking?
OS: All → Linux
Is it possible that you mean the green arrow right to the URL? if so, it's not meant to display a dropdown when you click on that.
Can you open the error console (under tools) and check if there is a javascript error displayed? Eventually you have to toggle javascript.options.strict to true via about:config before. Thanks.
> Can you open the error console (under tools) and check if there is a javascript error displayed? Errors are, but they concern only sites. > Eventually you have to toggle javascript.options.strict to true via about:config before. I adjusted about:config in the various ways, but the necessary result have not received. I tried to set different values to parametres browser.urlbar.xxx, but too have not received the necessary result. I tried to do all it on different systems (WindowsXP SP2 and Ubuntu 8.10). I tried to change a profile. I tried to disconnect plug-ins. I tried to delete extensions. I tried to instal the program anew. I tried to start the program in a safe mode. In any case of the downdrop list is not present. In the version 3.1b2 it works well.
Ok, so something has been regressed for you on the 1.9.1 branch. I'm still not able to see this issue, but it would be a big help if you could do a regression test. Does it also happen on trunk for you? Please run the following build with a fresh profile and check if it occurs too: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2009/03/2009-03-15-04-mozilla-central/ I'll give you more instructions when you report back your results. Thanks!

In Firefox I use usually theme "Strata". In v3.1b2 if graphic cursor (mouse) on button then button is "active" (light gray), if I click toggle then button is "pressed" (dark gray) and drop-down list will work, if cursor out of button then button is "not active" (white). In v3.1b3 and 3.1b4pre if cursor on button then button is "active" , if I click on button then address-bar is "active" (select all text), but button is still "not pressed", and drop-down list not show. But if I type in address-bar "http://" then drop-down list give my addresses from history and bookmarks (default in preferences). It's been on different OS with different themes and add-ons and plug-ins. And this still on clean profile or safe mode or it's all together and without any add-on. I don't understand why I should install Firefox v3.2a1pre if trouble in v3.1b3 and v3.1b4, but not in v3.1b2 and previous versions. I think it is conflict with my computer configuration, because it's happens on Linux and Windows. Configuration: processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+; RAM: 2x1GB (Samsung & Kingston) forgot model, sorry; motherboard: NForce4A-m; video: NVidia GeForce 8600GT; simple mouse and keyboard (without special drivers). OK, I try v3.2a1pre on Ubuntu and WinXP with clean profile. Later I submit results.
I test all versions higher 3.1b2 (Shiretoko and Minefield) on Linux and WinXP. Button in address-bar not work. But it work in previous versions.
Can you please check the values of the following preferences in about:config? browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled browser.urlbar.default.behavior
browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled = true; browser.urlbar.default.behavior = 2;
Can you reset the second one? Does it help? I'm still not able to see it on my box.
I try reset this parameter, but it don't help. I try change all parameters in about:config which associate with address-bar (I mean browser.urlbar), but I still don't have necessary result. Sometimes when I click this button I can see 1-3 drop-down list lines, but in about:config browser.urlbar.maxRichResults = 12.
Edward, have you ever seen such strange behavior?
Where in source code I can find adress-bar functions? I'll myself try to fix it...
And are you use you don't use a userChrome.css?
Protopolus, please enter some urls into the location bar and load them. Does it populate the dropdown with those urls? It really sounds like 486522.
resolving as there's lacking response & to get this from regressionwindow-wanted list. feel free to reopen if the answer to comment 25 is "yes, i don't use userChrome.css hacks".
