In Firefox, we show a special throbber in the place of a favicon when the places db is being searched to assemble the awesomebar list. We need some kind of activity indicator (doesn't have to show progress, just activity) for the Fennec nav screen, too -- I've started to notice this now that I'm syncing my bookmarks and history with the desktop, via weave. Rather than having a throbber variant in the place of the favicon, I think I'd prefer to put the indicator in the awesomebar list area. Mockup to come.
