Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506) Build Identifier: Firefox does not give the capability to export the list of installed extensions as a file, neither to download and install extensions according to a given list from a file. Reproducible: Always Some people are not happy with the existing core/extension Firefox line. So, the idea is here is to give users the capability to build something close to a custom distribution, or more precisely, to give users the capability to customize very easily a given Firefox instance. Following that idea, it would be a good idea to create the following actions: - enable to export from Firefox the list ot the installed extensions (with the original URL of the binaries) as a file, - and to enable another user to import, from a file, a list of wanted extensions (during the installation process or after the installation) in order to let a team or a company share more easily at least a common set of extensions. After having imported such a list, Firefox would display the proposed list of options, get automatically information about these options from Internet, and the user would have to select each one in the list in order to finalize easily the import. See this idea is a more global context: http://www.jroller.com/dmdevito/entry/about_user_experience_firefox_multiple
