M17 doesn't seem to work with NTLM security, even though it had in the past.  
When trying to navigate to a site protected with NTLM security, nothing 
happens.  There are no messages displayed asking for a username/password nor 
are there any error messages reported back to the user.  Even if a website is 
set to support both NTLM and standard security settings the same conditions 
occur.  It is only when a website is set to support only standard security 
settings that a username and password will be asked for.

This error confused me somewhat as NTLM security appeared to be included in 
previous milestone releases.
