When I was trying to stop the firefox updated tab by reinstalling firefox, I cannot uninstall it. However, it contains 2 entry on the add and remove programs in windows xp.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to add or remove program
2.look for mozilla firefox
3.try to uninstall one of them
Actual Results:  
Nothing

Expected Results:  
Uninstall firefox

download 3.5.6, dont use updates. the manual install WILL rewrite the other versions. uinstallers dont start if they find the wrong version, that keeps them from doing the wrong job. updating from 3.5.5to6 did not change the version in add/remove

Reporter, please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in a fresh profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also update your plugins (flash, adobe reader, java, quicktime, silverlight, etc.) Go to the developer's website and download the latest version from there. No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
