We receive email with .p7m attached when it comes into the inbox we can see attachment picture as soon as we click on to message thunder bird automaticly removes attachment

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.send p7m file to thunder bird account
2.wait for it to arrive in inbox 
3.as soon as you click on message attachment will be removed
Actual Results:  
attachments are always removed when i dont want them to 

Expected Results:  
to beable to recieve p7m file type & view them  

I have downloaded MIME EDIT to make sure content type is correct which did not resolve issue. Also i have tested with Eudora,Outlook & Hotmail applications and all of them are able to receive p7m file types except for Thunder bird. I try saving the email while i can still see the attachment icon but that saves it with out any attachments. As soon as we click on a email that has p7m file type it automaticly removes it. Please help we receive these type's of emails from Australian Customs.

the .p7m "attachment" is the body of an encrypted S/MIME message. If it was encrypted with your key then the contents will simply be displayed unencrypted like a normal mail message.

First of all thanks for your comment, the attachments that we receive are sent from a different company which they encrypt them selfs, Then it will need my key to unencrypt so i can view attachment. The only problem is when i receive an p7m attachment Thunderbird removes attachment and the content of attachment is not displayed like normal mail message. But if i use Eudora or Outlook (my email account is IMAP) the same email will have the p7m attachment which then i can go head and use my key to view attachment. With Thunder bird i cant see attachment for some reason it gets removed some how??   (In reply to comment #1)

Thanks for clarifying. Could be a bug on our end, I'll try to set the component so the right people see this.
