If u drag a URL from the location or a link in Netscape 7.2 onto Firefox's window, nothing happens. This does work from Netscape 4.79 and Internet Explorer and Firefox itself. This functionality was present in Firefox 2 and worked with no issues. The URL can be dropped onto Firefox's location bar however. This functions according to the highlight-copy-drag-paste text idiom. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag any URL onto Firefox's window from Netscape 7.2. Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: Firefox should go to the dropped URL.

Does this happen in safe mode?
Version: unspecified → 1.9.0 Branch
Yep, safe mode showed no difference. Also upgraded to 3.0.8, no difference.
Anybody ever look into this? It's got to be something stupid like FF not liking the OLE type of the drag data..
Upgraded to Firefox 3.5. Still doesn't work.
