Ever since my Firefox updated to 3.08 I have been getting the following pop-up error every time I try to open Firefox...
Firefox could not install this item because of a failure in Chrome Registration. Please contact the author about this problem.
It usually pops up 2 or 3 time before I am even able to start working in Firefox.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. After 3 times it allows me in
2.
3.

This is happening to me also, exactly as you describe. I have tried disabling and even deleting the add-ons but the problem continues. Did you find a solution.
This appears to be a common problem now. I can not resolve it following the instructions to date. I have stopped using Firefox as a result. Can anyone come up with a workable solution ?

Please try safe-mode to exclude extension problems:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Or a new profile:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile
If the problem persists, try reinstalling Firefox in a different folder.
