User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090410 Minefield/3.6a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090410 Minefield/3.6a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
1) Open Firefox (any page will work I think).
2) Start print preview.
3) Launch a link that opens in firefox. I launched a link from Yahoo Messenger.
4) The print preview window now looks like a regular browser window. Behavior is normal for browsing purposes.
5) On the new tab (or any other tabs now locally created), close button doesn't work.
6) "Close" only works on the original previewed tab.
Worst case scenario: You close the original tab that you print-previewed (while still in print preview) and you can never exit print preview mode. I'm stuck in this right now and likely have to restart Firefox to fix it.
Essentially this might not be a bug...some people might like browsing in print preview mode. I test printed a non-original tab and it printed fine. But, the close button should at least work on every tab.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
See above
Actual Results:
Can't exit print preview without clicking close on the original previewed page.
Expected Results:
a) You can't browse from print preview at all or
b) You can exit out of print preview from any tab.

Addendum: (Part of "Worst Case Scenario" in above) Even restoring the original tab after closing it, Close is still broken.

Additional note: this bug is a continuation of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=177491. That report was originally filed back in 2004 and hasn't seen any activity since 2008.

indeed. I just saw this. But what we do is soldier on with the old bug.
