The "page load error" page includes several questions/suggestions
about possible problems to explain the load error.  It is in a position
to actively TEST those suggestions, so should do so rather than
bugging an ignorant user to try.

For example, it could query WHOIS instead of making the user wonder
whether the domain is still registered.

It could try disabling its proxy to see if the problem is fixed.

It can test spelling-tweaked versions of the URL.

It can try reaching other sites, via hard-coded IP addresses, to
check on DNS.

So please teach firefox to try these things itself.
