The current "loading" mouse cursor is a nice feature, but it needs a pointer to
indicate that it is active and can still click. The Windows "busy in
background" pointer+hourglass is a good example.
Oh, and animation would be nice, although I know unix cursors don't like
anything out of the ordinary.

This is probably bug 30375, however, I don't see a bug open for the fact
that XC_exchange is being used instead of XC_watch, which I feel is more
appropriate. I'm not sure right now if a fix for 30375 will resolve this.
