User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032609 Firefox/3.0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032609 Firefox/3.0.8 Personal Google account/settings will NOT stay logged on if browser session is closed like it use to, despite the fact that Firefox has the login and password saved AND I checked GOOGLE's "remember this computer box." It always kept me logged in until I updated firefox to version 3.0.8. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Close all browser screens & reopen a new session 2. 3. Expected Results: Kept me logged in. I have to log in EVERY time i open a new browser session. This is most annoying since I have my google screen as my home page!!!! Google's pop-up box appears to "set up personal theme & what you want to see settings---open an account). Don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Others at http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla/topics/closing_firefox_logs_me_out_of_everything found the advice useful. Apparently there exists privacy/security/cleaning software that thinks it can safely manipulate the Firefox cookies.sqlite file, but just corrupts it instead. This is likely a dupe of a bug already filed.
