I do this: - launch fennec - click the star button to bookmark a site (even about:firstrun) - click the star button again to edit the bookmark - click the move button - observe there are no folders to move to On maemo this works as expected. There is a default folder OOB "Bookmarks Menu". I tested with adding a new folder before running this test and nothing shows up.

I landed a patch related to bookmarks (bug 486287) that had a fix for this in it. Can you try it with a newer build?
this works with blassey's latest bits from today with the mfinkle magic patch queue.
