I can confirm this on Linux nightly build 2000090621. Could someone change the
OS to All?
Similar behavior you can see if you open-in-new-window this URL:
http://www.czechcomputer.cz/ and click on some link in the horizontal bar (for
example Ceniky and then you browse in the inner frame. No link clicking enables
the back button.
I checked this with a mac build 2000090604.

Radha, the 'open in new window' makes this easy to see but it not what's really going
on. This might be a dupe or a regression of an old bug. What's happening is the current
page is replacing the previous page in SH - so in this case there is only ever one item in
the session history(the current page), and rightly the 'Back ' button never becomes active.

If you don't 'open in new window' you will see that this bug causes you to skip a page
if you try to go back - once it skipped two for me.
OS: Windows 98 → All
Hardware: PC → All
This is dup of bug 46828, but this bug is not fixed although it's marked as
VERIFIED FIXED.
The problem with "Open in new window" is addressed by 56062. markign this dupe
of that.
