Filing per Cilias' request. He also mentioned: Approvers can delete comments, but to me, it seems like something more appropriate for moderators.

The basic want behind this request is to remove spam comments to allow the useful comments to surface after being pushed down. Some argue the comments are trivial but I know some KB Article writers/editors pay attention to the comment feedback & would like to look at comments without shifting thru spam.

Chris: Do you know if permissions for deleting article comments exist?
If they don't, we could add them. Maybe LPH or Nelson have some insight, too.

I tend to think it would be the same as the one to delete regular comments.

tiki_p_remove_comments

Only wiki comments are handled a bit differently, and those differences are only due to legacy, and waiting for someone to clean up.

Thanks LPH! Forum moderators don't have tiki_p_remove_comments permissions. I'll try turning it on after SUMO 1.5.1 has pushed.

I've added tiki_p_remove_comments permissions to the Forum Moderators group on support-stage.mozilla.com. Let's test it out on the staging server, and if verified, I'll make the changes on the production site.

I just tested this on stage with a moderator only account. Article comments are deletable -> VERIFIED
