Details

Seen while running Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4) Gecko/20090423 Firefox/3.5b4 STR: 1. Switch to PB mode. 2. Go into Preferences and in the Privacy prefpane switch the dropdown to "Remember History" 3. Visit some new sites As expected, FF remembers the history, but is confusing because the page is still appended by (Private Browsing)
I can't reproduce this, when I'm in pb mode, no matter what I change the dropdown to, Minefield remains in pb mode. Do you mean the auto-start pref?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090425 Minefield/3.6a1pre What I do see though is that the window title is erased and I'm left with only "Minefield", so I suspect that it is the same bug only different platforms, due to the wonkiness of the window title. This corrects itself for me when I reload the tab, on Mac though it probably won't...
Flags: wanted-firefox3.5?
I forgot to add that in Step 2, I had previously set Firefox to use Custom Settings and then switched to Remember History once I was in PB mode.
Marcia, I got somewhat confused by this bug. Could you please list the steps needed to reproduce this on a fresh profile? Also, could you please check to see if this is Mac specific? Nochum, if the problem you're observing is not the same as Marcia's, please file a separate bug.
