Find linked to this bug the Firefox 3.5 "firstrun" page to be localized in all languages we ship for the release. The file to translate is linked in the URL field of this bug (for new localizers not familiar with Bugzilla yet, this field is up in the page below the 'QA contact' field) Localizers with SVN access can directly commit their translation to their repository and indicate in the bug comments the revision number of their commit. If you do not have SVN access and want one, please contact me by email (pascal_AT_mozilla.com) and I will open a bug for you. You can of course also just attach your translation to this bug, in that case don't forget to save it as UTF8 and attach it as "plain text (text/plain)". Thanks

Pascal, are you sure we need to duplicate the "Welcome to" part of the message here: <span>Welcome to</span> <img src="/<?=$lang?>/img/tignish/firstrun/welcome-3-5.png" alt="Welcome to Firefox 3.5" id="main-title" /> ?
Attachment #375467 - Attachment description: Romanian version → 'Firstrun' in-product page for Firefox 3.5 release [Romanian]
Attachment #375467 - Attachment mime type: application/octet-stream → text/plain
@Rimas, that's a good point but let's leave it like that for consistency (and it's also a useful string to have in store anyway).
Done for da, r25195 Is it possible to link to localized support instead of/in addition to the English one?
>Is it possible to link to localized support instead of/in addition to the English one? If there is no version of support.mozilla.org for your locale but an existing community site offering support, yes you can. Use this text instead: <h3>Need Help?</h3> <p class="first">Your local Community Support site has plenty of answers to guide you through any tricky spots.</p> <p><a href="http://linktothelocalsite/" class="blocklevel">Visit Firefox Community Support</a></p>
(In reply to comment #5) > @Rimas, that's a good point but let's leave it like that for consistency (and > it's also a useful string to have in store anyway). OK, rev. 25196 committed for lt (Lithuanian).
> If there is no version of support.mozilla.org for your locale but an existing > community site offering support, yes you can. Use this text instead: This is valid also if there are localized pages on support.mozilla.org but not localized support forums?
>This is valid also if there are localized pages on support.mozilla.org but not localized support forums? Choose what you think is best for the end-user, if the Italian community portal is currently offering a better support to your users than support.mozilla.org, then link to the local community site. If the situation changes in the future and support.mozilla.org becomes a better alternative for your language, then we can change the link in a future 3.5.x release.
I just commited the German (de) translation, r25205.
Done for sq, rev. 25209.
Done for fr, rev. 25210
done for hu revision #25211
Galician translation added. Thanx Antón
'Firstrun' in-product page for Firefox 3.5 release [Frisian, fy-NL]
'Firstrun' in-product page for Firefox 3.5 release [Dutch, nl-NL]
'Firstrun' in-product page for Firefox 3.5 release [Kazakh, kk]
Done for cs, rev. 25223.
Are there any plans to change the CSS or the layout of this page? Right now, in the Italian page the title of the "Need help?" paragraph overlaps the image (and Italian is not the only language affected), so I need to know if I have to place a manual line break in that title.
>Are there any plans to change the CSS or the layout of this page? Yes, I will work on it soon, there will be per locale css rules fixing issues
(In reply to comment #26) > Yes, I will work on it soon, there will be per locale css rules fixing issues Ok, then Italian is ready on SVN, rev. 25213.
Done for ru, r25225
Done for sk, r25226
Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) done on r25237
Committed r25241 with a few minor adjustments for el. A big welcome to Gregory Netsas (klonos@gmail.com) to our team!

Web Site Support updated to Mozilla Hispano
Bengali India (bn-IN) Translations attached. Although this has been discussed in comment #3 and #5, it is unclear to me the real significance of duplicating the 'Welcome to' text in the main feature string. Can someone give me pointers to it?
Here is the kn translation.
Ko done r25633.
Done for Bulgarian [bg] in r25634.
Polish [pl] checked in as revision 25645. Pascal, how does the following render? <h2> <span>Welcome to</span> <img src="/<?=$lang?>/img/tignish/firstrun/welcome-3-5.png" alt="Welcome to Firefox 3.5" id="main-title" /> </h2> I suppose the image will contain the "Firefox 3.5" text, so that I have to use the helper word "przeglądarce" in the <span> in order to avoid declension of the words used in this image. :/ On this assumption I based the above-mentioned revision.
Basque translation done
Attached file Estonian translation
Hopefully it is possible to have text after the title image, it doesn't make much sense to have image at the end.

Note to localizers: Due to a last minute change to the page, I added a parameter to this page, NO ACTION IS REQUIRED FROM YOU IN THIS BUG, all of the files that you committed to SVN or attached to this bug are already updated. If you need to update your translation, get the latest version of your file on our SVN repository. The reference file in the URL field of this bug is updated to the correct revision with the latest changes, this is for the localizers that haven't worked on this page yet. This last minute change involves a new string added to your main.lang file that we will deal with in a separate bug. Thanks for your attention :)

I'm asking this to see whether that part would be translatable, so that we can decide on the directionality of that box in the RTL theme...
that part will be translatable, yes.
