Gandalf, we've talked about making the closing event optional in the dashboard, I guess you're on that? Looking at the schema, I saw that the events are date fields right now, which doesn't really map our reality of those being datetimes. Not sure what the admin interface does for DatetimeField, but I think we should change that. This implies a schema change, thus P1.
