Attached patch automation config (obsolete) — Splinter Review
1) Many other releases going on right now, so not sure exactly when builds will start. However, I had a few mins so started prep work anyway. 2) bumped forward cutoff by 1min as usual.

Comment on attachment 381589 [details] [diff] [review] automation config You should bump the patcherToolsTag to UPDATE_PACKAGING_R8, too. Looks good otherwise

(In reply to comment #2) > (From update of attachment 381589 [details] [diff] [review]) > You should bump the patcherToolsTag to UPDATE_PACKAGING_R8, too. Looks good > otherwise Ugh, I hit submit too soon. UPDATE_PACKAGING_R8 actually contains a bunch more changes than I thought - I don't know how much of it affects Thunderbird builds. Feel free to keep your patch as is or use _R8.
Which other changes worry you in R8 ?
There's quite a few things in Step.pm, though this is a strange diff: http://people.mozilla.org/~bhearsum/misc/update-packaging-r7-r8.diff I think there's changes in Updates.pm, too, though it's not well labeled...
I think we'll be A-OK, as the Updates step just uses the R8 tag for pulling patcher, MozBuild (small, safe change), and a source tree to get the update packaging, and compile mbsdiff & mar. All the Bootstrap changes are also in the M14 automation tag which was used in 3.0.11 (we don't have a scheduler for the partner repack stuff on the Tb master).

Even though last patch was r+, I'm redoing anyway with UPDATE_PACKAGING_R8 to be safe.

LOL; very very true Nick. I hadnt mentioned it in ages, but now might risk it every now and then anyway :-) Seriously, thanks for catching that. > Checking in release/configs/tb-moz18-bootstrap.cfg; > /cvsroot/mozilla/tools/release/configs/tb-moz18-bootstrap.cfg,v <-- > tb-moz18-bootstrap.cfg > new revision: 1.37; previous revision: 1.36 > done > Checking in buildbot-configs/automation/production/tb-master.cfg; > /cvsroot/mozilla/tools/buildbot-configs/automation/production/tb-master.cfg,v > <-- tb-master.cfg > new revision: 1.7; previous revision: 1.6 > done > > cvs tag -F RELEASE_AUTOMATION_M14 release/configs/tb-moz18-bootstrap.cfg > T release/configs/tb-moz18-bootstrap.cfg Thanks.
