496552 - "Always show tabs" resets when using Fx3.0 and Fx3.5

I set the option "Always show tabs" (polish version: "Zawsze wyświetlaj pasek kart") in Menu/Options/Tabs in Firefox 3.0.10. When I close Fx3 and switch to Fx3.5pre, this option is still checked, but when I go back to Fx3 it becames switched off

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Fx3 and turn on the "Always show tabs" option
2.Close Fx3, start Fx3.5, check the same option and save options
3.Close Fx3.5, start Fx3
Actual Results:  
Option "Always show tabs" is switched off

Expected Results:  
Option "Always show tabs" is should be switched on

This is because the default changed to always show tabs in bug 392870 and default values are not saved to the profile on browser exit. You therefore now get the default in both versions.

I would guess this is a duplicate of bug 236742 (also see workaround in that bug).

Do you mean that in 3.0 the option is default off and in 3.5 is default on?
