I press the button to download the next release. A message tells me the new version can not be checked, so a complete download is required. But it continues downloading forever... I'm behind a firewall, so I can only connect on special ports (80,443). Reproducible: Always I found this the first time, when upgrading to 3.5B from 3.1B. It was working fine for 3.0.x versions until I switched to 3.1. But maybe as well a configuration in the firewall caused the problem.
