Sometimes it will do so 2 or 3 times. Reproducible: Didn't try Happened after I lightly overclocked the computer. Hasn't gone away after undoing the overclock.

It is firefox safe mode, http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode, and it disables extensions so that you can determine if they are causing it.
Nevermind: new update fixed problem. Guess I'll never know what caused it.
