From http://v2v.cc/~j/theora_testsuite/. The stockholm-vfr.ogg ("Hybrid 24fps/30fps clip encoded as 120fps with dropped frames.") causes a throbber in the middle of playback, even after the entire video has buffered or is playing from a local file. Looks like .readyState is becoming 2 (HAVE_CURRENT_DATA), which causes the controls to show the busy UI. There are also extra canplay, playing, and canplaythrough events being fired while this is going on. Not sure if this is a realistic video that we should handle, but thought I'd file it.
This is fixed in current trunk. Since this video has dropped frames, I'm betting the patch that fixed this is bug 516847.
