New Firefox icons are now out: http://blog.mozilla.com/faaborg/2009/06/18/the-new-firefox-icon/ so we should probably update at some point soonish.
Thanks for getting this going. Other than a few blog posts, we're not actually putting the logo on any sites until the 3.5 launch. So if you guys could time the SUMO update with that somehow (or shortly afterwards if it's easier...doesn't have to be the same exact day) then that would be great. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
We should see where we use these on our site and get a list of sizes we'd need... Do we know who's gonna be doing the images?
(In reply to comment #2) > Do we know who's gonna be doing the images? Alex Faaborg can hook you up!
This will have to go into 1.3.

Should I talk to Alex? Which images are we updating?

Not much point of a patch here, but just in case, it doesn't hurt :)

Paul: these images include a color profile which makes the logo look a bit more saturated in versions of Firefox that have color profile support turned on by default. Photoshop (as well as other apps) actually embed the color profile by default, which you can turn off by going to Edit > Color Settings. You can also be sure to save a png that doesn't contain any embedded color profiles by using File > Save for Web and Devices
Hey Alex, I didn't actually do these, you may want to talk to Jennifer. Should they be updated?
yeah, the extent to which they look odd somewhat depends on your monitor, but on some of the Dell panels we have here they look a bit neon-ish with the embedded color profile. Boriss: could you save these out again?

Thanks for the tip, Alex. The following should have no color profiles embedded.

verified fixed on https://support-stage.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page and https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-login_scr.php ( the search the knowledge base icon ) in firefox and ie6
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Boriss: those four images actually still each have a color profile. You can check them by opening them in the ColorSync app in OS X (or if you are all OCD like me memorizing the exact shade of the new Firefox icon :P)
Maybe we should actually do this the better way for 1.4?

What's left to do here -- removing color profiles from the images?
Priority: -- → P2
Yep.
Paul, can you do this?
I don't have Photoshop. Marius might be able to, I'll ask.
Here are all the images without the embedded color profiles.
