lynx -head http://www.darkreavers.de/memberz.php HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Wed, 23 Aug 2000 20:24:11 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) Last-Modified: Mon, 21 Aug 2000 20:52:17 GMT ETag: "492025-12d2-39a19681" Accept-Ranges: bytes Content-Length: 4818 Connection: close Content-Type: text/plain ^this last line is the problem^ -- this extra content is an explanation of why what mozilla/netscape do is acceptable but what ie does is basically wrong (ie renders the page); according to my quick survey this page should be treated according to its content-type <g> [unless the server only gives text/html to ie, but again that's a server configuration error]
