User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 User preferences regarding sorting order of all topics in the preferences presentation go lost after having restarted Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open following location using Firefox "about:config" 2. Change the topic sort order to any different than the default one e.g. By Name AND inverse (descending) 3. Restart the Firefox 4. Open "about:config" once again Actual Results: All preferences topics presented in the default sorting order again Expected Results: All preferences topics presented in the sorting order last selected by user (before the restart) Thunderbird 2.x doesn't exhibit this issue. Firfox started to have this issue with 2.x release. Previous releases not affected. Firefox newest version affected as well. Windows version irrelevant. Same problem when running Firefox on Linux platform.
This is a very old regression (or change, since it is not clear if it was done intentionally).
