Details

After opening the find bar with CTRL + F, it should be possible to close it with CTRL + F again. Currently the only way to disable/close it is to click on the X.
Flags: wanted-firefox3.6?
Yeah, that could be a good idea. Although this is also the way to refocus if you want to type in another search term. So I'm not sure. Maybe another key?

What's the difference between CTRL + F and CTRL + G? If there's no difference, we could use CTRL + G to close it.

Ctrl + G seems still unused here.

Not on Linux. It seems to do the same thing CTRL + F does. Is there any argument against using CTRL + G for closing the find bar?

... or to hit [Esc] while the find bar has the focus.

BTW: Ctrl+G stands for "Find Next" which yields different behavior after dismissing the find bar for the first time (same as [F3]).
