User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009051222 Firefox/3.0.10 Build Identifier: MoziMozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5rc3 PNG images containing dropshadows aren't rendering properly on pages created via Apple's iWeb application when viewed with Firefox 3.5. The dropshadow is displayed around the perimeter of the PNG image. This is fine until one employs a PNG image with a transparent region. Firefox 3.5 doesn't ignore the transparency when rendering dropshadows, resulting in boxy, picture frame shaped dropshadows. When viewed in Safari, those same PNG images will display the dropshadow behind only the nontransparent component, resulting in images with dropshadows resembling visible components' shapes. Since iWeb's special effects rely extensively on the use of PNG files, sites created in iWeb may not look as intended when viewed using Firefox 3.5. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Visit an iWeb created site with PNG images containing transparent regions and dropshadows effects. Actual Results: Shadow effect will appear as a box around the image. Expected Results: Shadow effect should only appear behind the nontransparent portion of the PNG image.
