new (browser) windows openend via "open in new window" open a few pixels right
and below the last recently opened window, which is fine. However, after opening
around 20-30 windows the new window´s position ends up within a few (< 10!)
pixels of the very lower right hand corner of my screen. That is the position of
the top left hand corner of the window, so that the window´s content is outside
the visible screen area.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
open a lot of new browser windows
Actual Results: the window opens at the very lower right hand corner of the
screen, putting 99% of the window outside the visible screen area.
Expected Results: a new window should open at a screen position such that most
(preferrably all) of it is visible.
I use KDE 1.1.2, XFree 3.3.3
Sorry, I reported this a little prematurely. After I renamed my ~/.mozilla
directory and started the latest nightly with a fresh profile, all new windows
open at the *same* location close the the upper left hand corner of the screen.
The funny thing is, that this behaviour persisted even after using my old
profile directory again.
I suggest to mark this invalid. Sorry.
Marking invalid based on reporter's request.
