When the menu bar is set to not show (View -> Toolbars, Menu Bar) you can not drag and drop to the bookmarks menu because the menu bar does not stay open after hitting the alt key and selecting an address in the location bar, clicking a favicon or copying a link in the page content.

I think the menu bar should stay unhidden when a copy or drag event has occurred and rehide after it is done.  I guess you can say stay in vie on mousedown and close on mouseup.
