Find good links for more info on "Understanding Privacy".
e.g. eff.org, dmoz

Ben -- I am currently writing a comprehensive online Help doc on the subject of
Privacy and Security. It contains a number of links to other information. It
will reside on the user's local machine so no connection to a server is
necessary to read it. It will be ready on Monday 8/28; sorry for the delay but I
keep getting interrupted by numerous other things! Since this document will soon
be available I don't think it's necessary to add links to Steve's document.

Oh -- also, my new document will be accessed via Tasks->Privacy and Security as
well as Help->Help Contents, and the Learn More button in the Cookies pref
dialog. Steve's document will be linked to my document.
mass-accept to stop annoying bugzilla spam.

verah, where can I find the docs?
You can't find the actual files in a mozilla (non-commercial) build yet, since
my document hasn't been hooked up to Tasks:Privacy&Security or to the button in
the Cookies Prefs dialog. However, I've attached my document to this bug. Since
it uses a style sheet you might want to edit the header and remove the
stylesheet reference. Let me know if you have any problems reading it.
verah, your document seemed pretty good. I think we should also have a links
section for more information about the topic. I will try to find some good links.

Ben, I'm seeing the document available in both Commercial & Non-commercial
builds via the chrome:// url above and under Tasks:Privacy and
Security:Understanding Privacy. Are you okay with this bug being marked fixed &
verified as such, or are there other things you'd like to hold it open for?

I'll wait until end-of-day Friday to mark fixed & verified if I don't hear from
you. If you get this message later than that, and feel the need to re-open,
please do.
ckritzer, the document you refer to contains no links at all. We should provide
some good links, no users sincerely interested into privacy can get more
information and find a community etc.. Something like <http://www.eff.org> or
<http://www.heise.de/tp/english/>, but I'd like to list more such sites. I
currently don't have good ones, though.
Ahhhhhh....I misunderstood context of "privacy links". I thought you were
refering to links through menus, buttons, etc *to* our privacy doc, and not
ones you would like to see *in* the privacy doc.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Ben.

need more ?
I was looking more for insider sites (but I didn't know them), but I guess your
collection is OK.

Actually, that page is gone now in the trunk, I think, only available in Help.
