Menu "View > Today Pane" is always disabled in Mail tab. 
Today Pane can't be enabled or configured via menu.

Using a clean installation of Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090703 Shredder/3.0b3pre with Lightning 1.0pre (20090703044658).
