User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Firefox saves Internet pages by their filenames and not by their titles. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a file on the Web (see above, for example). 2. Save it. Actual Results: Firefox wants to save the Fiel as SB124657539489189043.html Expected Results: Should save as New Evidence on the Foreclosure Crisis - WSJ.com Both Google Chrome and IE8 offer to save the file with the above title. When I want to save a file I copy the URL and open Google Chrome. I then use the paste and go feature, and then save the file. It sure beats typing in the title. This has been an issue for years. When Firefox was first released some of us noticed that it was not following the save-by-title standard that IE had set. Then Chrome followed the IE method. If those guys can do it why can't Firefox?
