Another side effect of bug 391076 is that in a locale which has localized names for certain fonts (the CJK locales), we'll always display the English ('canonical', in Gecko terms) font name in the preview box, since that's what we write to the prefs to make Gecko happy. It's a bit odd to see the localized name in the OS font panel and then turn around and see the English name after you've selected it. It's entirely cosmetic; it's unpleasant UI, but it doesn't affect the function of choosing fonts, which is what we've been trying to fix. If we have time before 2.0, or a patch appears from a contributor, we'd like to fix this, but it won't block.
