I went to post to a MS newsgroup (nntp://news.microsoft.com) by clicking the Write button on the main window toolbar.  Instead of popping up a new message compose window, TB asked which account I wanted to use in a drop menu.  I picked my account and the window opened, but the To field was blank.  It didn't know which newsgroup I had picked.

So I backed out and used File/New/Message.  That worked.  My full config follows.  I (and dr|z3d) consider this to be a usability issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a NNTP account (if you don't have one).  I used nntp://news.microsoft.com.
2. Subscribe to a newsgroup (if you haven't already).
3. Make that newsgroup your current folder.
4. Click the write button.
Actual Results:  
TB asks which account you want with a drop menu.  If you pick an account, the To field is blank.

Expected Results:  
TB should open the compose window with the To/News field set to your newsgroup.

BTW: I don't have a 64-bit build of TB.  Rather, I responded to the platform question with my OS version.  That is Vista 64-bit SP1.

Not tested recently.  I never use NNTP anymore.
