This is NOT a problem in the 3.6 nightly builds, it is only present in Firefox 3.5 and Shiretoko nightly builds since the May 21, 2009 nightly build.

Pushlog for the period in question:
http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.1/pushloghtml?startdate=2009-05-20+02%3A00&enddate=2009-05-21+02%3A00

Most likely candidate: Bug 472874.

STR:
1. On Windows, start Firefox 3.5 or Shiretoko.
2. From any page, press WindowsKey+M.

Expected: Focus should go to the desktop.
Actuaal: Focus lands on an unnamed tooltip, and one has to press WindowsKey+M again to get to the desktop.

This unnamed tooltip window reoccurrs everytime one alt-tabs back to Firefox and minimizes it again with WindowsKey+M.

Requesting blocking since this is a very common step for screen reader users to do, and this is being viewed as a usability regression of 3.5 by those reporting it.

As given by Marco in an email this could be a dupe of bug 499816. He is testing the fix.
I just tested with the patch of bug 499816, and it solves my problem too.
