50266 - Cannot subscribe to news groups

Status: VERIFIED DUPLICATE of bug 50059

[Len Trigg]

1) Create a news account from scratch (e.g.: news.mozilla.org). This appears to
go fine (the account appears in the folder pane)
2) Right click on the new account in the folder pane and select subscribe
3) Subscribe to some newsgroups
4) Click OK

Expected:
The new newsgroups should appear under the news account in the folder pane

Actual:
No change to the news account. The groups cannot be accessed.

If you return to the subscribe dialog the previously subscribed groups are
marked as such, it's just that there's no way to actually access those groups.
