The homepage icon at http://freshmeat.net/ is a link to a page in the form
http://freshmeat.net/project/<project name>/homepage/ where <project name> is
the name of the project.  All this page does is redirect you to the actually
homepage of the project.  Mozilla handles the redirect, but the location bar
still shows http://freshmeat.net/project/<project name>/hompage/ as the URL.
Hitting reload will resolve this issue.  Middle clicking on the icon to bring up
a new window seems to bypass this issue, also

Steps to Reproduce:
Go to http://freshmeat.net/.  For one of the projects listed on the homepage,
selected the homepage icon.
