The "private browsing" function has been translated "navigazione anonima" in the italian localized version of Firefox. This is quite misleading for users, as it means "anonymous browsing" (users can think that it will hide their IP address, for example). A more correct translation would be "navigazione privata", although there might be a better one.

1. Look inside the Tools (Strumenti) menu in the italian version
Actual Results:  
You see the misleading message.

Expected Results:  
You would see a good translation.

Sorry to object but "Navigazione privata" is not a better localization of "Private Navigation", is simply a more literal translation. 

The first and main meaning of "Privato" is "che non è di pubblica proprietà o gestione, che appartiene a singoli cittadini, che è da essi gestito". Is that suitable for the browsing activity? IMO not at all. On the other hand "Anonimo" has the problem that you've already described, but there's a whole page that describes this feature and clearly states that your ISP can still track your navigation.
