User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 GTB5
Build Identifier: http://mozilla2.snt.utwente.nl//firefox/releases/3.5/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%203.5.exe

I was last using the latest beta of 3.0.12 and upgraded to 3.5 by downloading the installer. Without uninstalling anything, I ran the 3.5 installer. When I tried to launch 3.5, no window comes up and nothing happens, the crash reporter window immediately pops up. I sent in this bug report multiple times (under the same notify email address as my bugzilla account), as this bug is 100% reproducible.

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled FF multiple times, and if I reinstall 3.0.11 it runs fine, but I have the same issue whenever I install 3.5. I tried disabling Symantec Autoprotect during installation, and quitting Google Desktop in case there were compatibility issues--to no avail.

I have also tried to start the program in safe mode, with the same results.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch FF 3.5
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Firefox immediately crashed

Expected Results:
Firefox opens

I will try to update this with a bug ID by reinstalling 3.5 and causing another crash... In the meantime, if you can look up bugs by the email address used for them, it is the same as my bugzilla email.

Either you have a program called "Spector Pro" installed or your computer has Backdoor.Ulrbot.C Trojan running the removal tool at http://www.antispyware.com/glossary_details.php?ID=134219 should resolve the issue.

Though the automated tool found nothing, and I do not run Spector, I did find a dll per the manual removal instructions that seemed to fit the bill: serusvoc.dll. After adding ".old" to the end of it, FireFox launches!

Thanks for the help, I had only seen the automated ways to remove this before so I thought I didn't have it.
