Adblock plus seems to have broken on the latest Minefield.  (Or more likely, since Adblock Plus was just updated to a new version, Adblock plus broke.)  But perhaps something changed in Minefield?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Adblock Plus 1.1
2. Sites with ads no longer block many ads
3. Pages are listed as having no blockable items
Actual Results:  
Adlblock plus no longer works properly

Expected Results:  
Adblock plus blocks ads

I see no difference at first sight. The same amount of items are colored red.

Um, that's not latest Minefield. Take a look at the date there, it's from February and the version is 3.2a1pre when Minefield is now 3.6a1pre. (compare to Ria's in comment 1) It's indicating that you're running a very very old version of Minefield. Please install the latest Minefield, Shiretoko, or a current release.

No, I'm running the very latest version.  Updated daily.  When you view "About Minefield", it reports the incorrect version number.  For example, right now, the about dialog reports 3.2a1pre.  But the help menu shows that it is downloading 3.6a1pre (which is what it says every time.  Now I'll install what it is downloading and post again...

New minefield now installed.  Version reported is 3.2a1pre.  adblock plus has stopped working again...

You're either stuck on an old update channel and should install again (not update) or your user agent is stuck spoofed to an old version. You can reset the later via about:config and reseting the various general.useragent prefs.

Ok, I just replaced Minefield with a fresh copy downloaded manually, and it is now reporting 3.6a1pre.  The odd thing that it was previously reporting 3.6a1pre.  Somewhere it must have reverted.  Let me see if the adblock plus problem goes away...

Some users are reporting this issue with Adblock Plus 1.1. I didn't manage to narrow down the factors causing it before my vacation, will start looking into this again now that I'm back.

Either way, so far it doesn't seem to be a Minefield issue but rather something on my side (interference from other extensions maybe).

Michael, Adblock Plus 1.1.3 is out by now - can you still reproduce this issue?

I didn't have any such reports in a while, lots of people are using Firefox 3.6 with current Adblock Plus versions without any problems whatsoever. So I am just assuming that the issue is gone and resolving this as WORKSFORME.
