I trashed my mozregistry, users50, etc. and when I start up today's verification build, it comes up in classic - with no way to switch skins (no skins in the switcher). I also see nothing in the personal taskbar.
several things here. Mac is supposed to start up in classic (so are win32 and linux) per bug 48205. The missing themes isn't yet reported I dont' think and the empty personal toolbar should nbe filed as a seperate bug (probably filed on themes component). Updating to skinability component, adding PP and updating summary. old summary was mac starts up in classic - cannot switch skins additional info: themes are not missing in win32 mozilla build from today.

I'm using the commercial installer, not mozilla. It must be something in the commercial install that's not been updated..
Further note, that when I just download the .sit file and unzip it it works ok.
this is also happening on win 32 and is reported as bug 50669 and bug 50681
Dveditz told me to reassign this to Samir - as it's probably an installer issue.?

nominating nsbeta3 - this is a major problem, you cannot switch skins, nor do AIM overlays work..

Dan and I poked around at the install log. Doesn't appear to be an install issue. Dan is rummaging through bonsai now to determine what may be causing this.

This is very likely a dup of 50669, which has also been marked a dup of a bug which hyatt has a fix for. Try it again. (btw, you can just resize the window horizontally to make the themes appear...on win32, anyways) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 50669 ***
