See bug 478297 comment 8 - looks like there is (or was) a problem with configure auto-regeneration on 1.9.0. In that specific case I don't think it was critical, but it might be a problem for future patches landed there so I think it needs to be investigated.
I don't know how, but the jobs that bump configure and blocklist.xml got hung or stuck on egg.b.m.o. The only reason it even did it eventually was because the machine was rebooted.
