User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070609 Firefox/3.0.12 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.22 (20090605) Printing problems in Thunderbird version 2.0.0.21 and/or 2.0.0.22 (Mac OSX 10.5.7). When printing, not all of the content on page is printed, it cuts off part of the message body from bottom of page two. Huge white space with email header info (To, From, Subj, etc., then the remaining of page is blank on page one. page 2 displays the message body (validated HTML email)<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> but again cuts off the content not able to be display on a single printed page. Page three prints the footer of the html page. I upgraded to (latest)Thunderbird V 2.0.0.22 with no better results. The email was sent from another source to two addresses, One I check with Thunderbird - resulting in missing data (only when printing), and another opening in Apple Mail, prints 100% correctly. I am able to reproduce this on multiple Macs w/ Thunderbird. On a hunch I opened the same email message in Mozilla FireFox (3.0.12 Mac OSX) and SquirrelMail (HTML email client) and find this same preview/printing problem. Humm, Could be Mozilla FireFox issue also humm... Accessed SquirrelMail with Safari, Version 4.0.2 (5530.19), allowed display of remote images and all prints correctly. Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird share this same bug issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.View valid HTML email that includes images from remote server and html table layouts and that is in excess length greater than three pages. 2.View the HTML email in Thunderbird (mac OSX 10.5.4 - in my case) and print. 3.View either Print preview or printed paper results. Duplicated on multiple Macs (same confg). Also able to view same email message in SquirrelMail using FireFox (3.0.12 Mac OSX). But do not experience this problem with Safari browser. P.S. I am not talking about highlighting/select printing. Attempting to print the all pages with or without background printing on (on in my case) . Actual Results: Firefox and/or Thunderbird cuts off html email content from message body. Expected Results: Expect Thunderbird and Firefox to print multiple full page message content like it should. I did see older bug reports like this one but they were all unconfirmed from back in 2008. I uploaded a screen shot to a couple previous older similar posts. I don't see a way to include a screen shot here with this initial report. Printing this same email seems to be a non-issue for Safari & SquirrelMail, and/or AppleMail email client application. Apparently only a Mozilla Bug! Sorry if this is duplicate but I was unable to find a recent post on this Bug issue. Best of luck - Kill Dem BUGs or be Killed!
Here's a screen shot of the printed html email that Thunderbird is truncating.
Here's a screen shot as it should print (as printed from Safari & SquirrelMail.
