Is this still a wanted request? This seems like something useful, but I want to close bugs that we have no intention of ever working on or gaining value from.

Joel, this can probably be duped to bug 848358 as there aren't any details here about new things to measure for tabs. What do you think?

yeah, I agree. we have tart now which pretty much does this and a lot more.
