We are pushing a few new splash pages to help educate people about the importance of updating their Firefox and how to update. We need platform specific instructions on how to update to the latest version of Firefox and screencasts explaining how to do it. We'd like our Splash pages to have links to these articles as well as the upgrade.html page on mozilla.com

We've got <https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Updating+Firefox>. We can add Mac and Linux screenshots and screencasts. (The page auto-detects the visitor's OS) Is that good, or do you want something exclusively for your splash pages? And when do you want this done by?

I think that sounds great. As a recap-- Adding screen shots and screen casts for Mac and Linux. We'd need this for 2 weeks from now. Is that doable?

I've been leading the community effort at <https://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=en-US&comments_parentId=415484&forumId=3>. So far, we've got screenshots for all three OSes and screencasts for Mac and Linux. We just need a Windows screencast, and we're done. You can check it out at <https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Updating+Firefox>. Beside the article title, there's an "Actions" box. At the bottom of it, there's a section called "Show content customized for:", where you can switch between content for each OS.

Oh, and you need to set it to Firefox 3.0 content as well (Firefox 3.5 users don't need to learn how to upgrade to 3.5. :-) )

Looks like we didn't upload OGG formats -- do we want to do that too?

Chris? How long will it take to add this? If it takes too long (ie more than a day) lets move forward.
Chris?

(In reply to comment #12) > Chris? We'll create separate screencasts for 3.5 users. The current ones are for 3.0 users, so IMO there's no point in making open video versions.
