User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2
I don't consider this a broken web page, it is far too common. Many sites show the same or very similar response to a normal logon operation. The most notable exceptions are banking sites. They all seem to work as do some others but Netflix, Watchersweb, Amazon and many others either fail or exhibit erratic behaviour such as requiring multiple logons or forgetting my logon from one page to another.
This has been happening since Firefox 3.0.x and continues today at Firefox 3.5.2. BTW, my cookies ARE enabled and always have been. Likewise with javascript but many sites that drive their UI buttons and such with javascript fail to respond to clicks; not even a blink.
My feeling is that there is some kind of communication failure between the site and Firefox unique to my system. I've checked my firewall, and other spyware/virus tools and found nothing out of order. BTW, the same problems occur on IE. I had IE8 but removed it due to problems (It wouldn't even run Windows Update!) which leaves me with IE7. It also has problems but I'm stuck with it so I just run tests on it. It won't allow access to internet options so I can't check its settings for cookies, etc.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Probably will happen with cookies disabled as it should.
2.
3.
Expected Results:
Proceeded normally.
The source for the Netflix page follows as an example. It's not too long.
