The second star has the word NOTE in english, meaning notition.
NOOT in Dutch means nut.

More common used for this are the words:

The problem comes from the upstream translation, so this should be reported upstream:

Even though it may look strange to some people, ‘noot’ is a proper translation (as in ‘voetnoot’) and therefore used across several Mozilla products and (support) pages. See e.g. http://www.vandale.nl/vandale/opzoeken/woordenboek/?zoekwoord=noot , http://www.encyclo.nl/begrip/noot and http://synoniemen.net/index.php?zoekterm=noot for reference.

Thus proposing invalid.

Yeah I agree. Although if it were up to me NOOT could be written as ‘Noot’.

Also, the second sentence of the second paragraph of the extract basically rephrases the first paragraph, stylistically this isn’t really pretty. But I don’t see this in the translation string.

I wonder how I could view this error page, there are two netError.dtd files (locale/nl/global/netError.dtd and locale/browser/netError.dtd) and when I create a redirect loop on my website to test, I get the first (which omits the note line entirely). If someone has an URL where I could reproduce this error message, that would be appreciated.

But there’s definitely nothing wrong with ‘noot’.
